HVAC Installer

LJS Mechanical is a Veteran-Owned and Operated HVAC and Plumbing Company in Maynardville, TN. We are in search of a motivated individual interested in starting or advancing their career in HVAC. The role will initially focus on new construction with the potential to transition to the service side of the company if desired.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist lead technicians on new construction install and service calls in the Union, Knox, and surrounding counties' service area.

  • Execute system change-outs and new construction installations,.

  • Must have a strong work ethic, discipline, and be able to work independently.

  • Detail-oriented, skilled in quoting and designing job layouts accurately within company parameters.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Entry level - 1 year experience is preferred. ( Experienced tech encouraged to apply as role and pay would be adjusted)

  • Veterans preferred but not required— experience requirements may be waived for qualified veterans.

  • Required: EPA Certification is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate to obtain it within 12 months.

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.

  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work in unconditioned environments, heights, attics, crawlspace, etc.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs independently.

  • "Self-starter" attitude with excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

  • Goal-oriented and capable of working with minimal supervision.

  • Install HVAC systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues.

  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure proper functionality and efficiency.

  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Lay out, assemble, and install all aspects of commercial/industrial HVAC installations, including ductwork, setting up split/package systems, gas piping, venting, and electrical.

  • Ability to cross train and assist with light plumbing - water heaters, plumbing fixtures, etc.
